This Southlake home featured on HGTV has a dance stage and recording studio

Built in 1999, this Southlake home has a unique contemporary design, and the renovation of its upstairs game room was featured in the second season of HGTV’s Donna Decorates Dallas. In the show, the room was turned into a creative space with a recording studio and a dance stage that lights up when stepped on.

The home at 1004 Turnberry Lane is part of the Coventry Manor neighborhood, and it sits on 0.88 acres. It has five bedrooms, five bathrooms and two half-bathrooms in 9,327 square feet.

Listing agent Amber Butcher of Engel & Völkers Dallas Southlake said the home was originally built to have a traditional design with a stucco exterior, but the addition of a unique porte cochere gave it a more contemporary feel.

“Really the best feature of that house is the way it’s laid out for entertaining,” Butcher said of the home’s large living spaces and open floor plan.

The home is full of natural light with large windows throughout. The home’s foyer is two stories tall with a staircase to the second floor on one side. The home’s living room is near the entrance and has a fireplace and built-in bookcases. The family room looks out on the back yard through large windows. The space has a fireplace, bookcases and a nearby wet bar. The kitchen has glass countertops, seating at the counter and a breakfast area. There’s also a 500-bottle wine room and a downstairs home theater.

Four of the five bedrooms are on the first level. Two have en suite bathrooms, and the other two share a Jack-and-Jill style bathroom, Butcher said.

The primary suite is the only bedroom on the second level. The bedroom overlooks the property through numerous windows, and its bathroom has dual vanities and a separate bathtub and shower. The primary suite also has a spa room.

There’s a full gym, a second office and the game room with the recording studio on the second level.

Outside, the home has a pool that was resurfaced this year. There’s also a covered patio, an outdoor kitchen and plenty of green space surrounding the pool.

The home is on the market for $3,786,000.
